DBMS is pleased to announce that Sherri Arrigo will present from the defense perspective for “The Hot Seat: Taking and Defending Depositions,” an Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) Tort Law Section CLE for New Lawyers program on April 11, 2019.

As the featured speaker in “Perspectives of the Defense Attorney,” Ms. Arrigo will offer insight on how to identify and target the purpose and goals of a deposition and will join the panel discussion “Depositions and Getting Your Questions Answered,” accompanied by the Honorable Kay M. Hanlon and plaintiffs’ attorney Brian Murphy.

Ms. Arrigo is one of several influential speakers in this three-hour CLE program, which will cover topics including how to gather information from witnesses for use during motions and trial, how to avoid Rule 213 objections, and how judges rule on certified questions.

Ms. Arrigo’s practice is primarily focused in the defense of professional negligence and pharmaceutical actions. She has successfully tried dozens of medical and legal malpractice cases to verdict, saving her clients millions of dollars in requested damages.

This Practice Ready Series program is geared towards new attorneys who need guidance on how to properly take and defend depositions. The event will be held at the ISBA Chicago regional office located at 20 S.
