On October 7, 2020, Mark Burden served as a faculty member for the North Central Region Virtual Trial Tactics & Trial Academy. The Trial Academy, which is presented jointly by the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel, the Defense Counsel of Indiana and the Wisconsin Defense Counsel, allows participants an opportunity to gain experience by trying a sample slip and fall case. Prior to conducting opening statements, witness examinations and closing arguments, students in the Trial Academy receive expert instruction on all aspects of trial procedure from some of the top trial attorneys in the region. Mr. Burden shared his knowledge and provided the faculty lecture on effective cross-examination techniques.
