Donohue Brown Mathewson & Smyth Managing Partner Karen Kies DeGrand will share insights on the privilege provisions in medical malpractice litigation under a recent Appellate Court of Illinois decision at a free CLE seminar later this month.
Ms. DeGrand will discuss the distinctions between the litigation privileges under the federal Patient Safety Act and the Medical Studies Act in light of the appellate court’s opinion in Daley v. Ingalls Memorial Hospital, which was cited among the top five medical decisions in 2018 by the American Medical Association.
As part of the Lunchtime Seminar Series run by Hon. Judge Lynn M. Egan (Ret.), Ms. DeGrand will be joined by Michael Callahan of Katten Muchin Rosenman.
The event will be held at the James R. Thompson Center’s Assembly Hall Auditorium at 100 W. Randolph Street in Chicago from noon to 1:15pm on Wednesday, March 27, 2019.
