Reeves v. Defendant Physician
05/01/1999
Client:
Synopsis:Defendant Physician
Outcome:Defense Verdict
Plaintiff, a 74-year-old man, was admitted for total right knee replacement with a history of severe vascular disease. Ten days post-op, the right lower leg lost blood flow. The leg was amputated above the knee a few months later.
Defense asserted that the amputation of the leg was caused by a sudden occlusion of the ilio-femoral artery.
Plaintiff sought over $3 million. The jury returned a defense verdict.
