DBMS successfully defended an ophthalmologist in a jury trial in Rockford. Plaintiff had alleged medical negligence against the defendant physician with regard to radial keratotomy surgery and the subsequent enhancements or revisions to that surgery.
On May 15, 2009, the Winnebago County jury returned a defense verdict in favor of the defendant ophthalmologist and against the plaintiff after the plaintiff’s attorney requested $720,000 in damages.
This was the third defense verdict obtained by DBMS in Winnebago County in two years.
