Biography
Justin Evans concentrates his practice on the defense of physicians, hospitals, and allied healthcare providers in professional negligence lawsuits. He has extensive trial experience as first and second chair, as well as experience resolving cases through dispositive motion practice and alternative dispute resolution.
Mr. Evans joined the firm in 2024 after practicing at defense firms in Chicago and Detroit. At his prior firms, he practiced in a wide variety of areas, including medical malpractice, long-term care, Federal Employers’ Liability Act railroad litigation, products liability, premises liability, electric and gas liability, and transportation liability. He is licensed to practice in the State of Illinois, State of Michigan, and the United States District Courts in the Northern District of Illinois and Eastern District of Michigan.
Mr. Evans is a 2012 graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where he graduated cum laude. In law school, he was a title editor on the Law Review, a member of the Dean’s Honor Society, and a recipient of the Judge Denise Langford Morris Dean’s Scholarship. He is a 2009 graduate of Kalamazoo College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and was a four-year letter winner on the men’s soccer team and two-year captain.
