Biography

David Duffey concentrates his practice on professional negligence work and the defense of medical providers, groups and hospitals from pre-suit investigation through trial and appeal. Additionally, he represents clients in general tort and premises liability matters and has extensive experience in defending clients in all stages of litigation. He joined the firm in 2015 following two years at a Chicago litigation firm. Since joining the firm, he has been recognized as a Best Lawyers®: Ones to Watch, an Illinois Rising Star, and an Emerging Lawyer based on excellence and peer recognition from other attorneys in Illinois.

Mr. Duffey graduated from Loyola University Chicago School of Law where he received the Joan Marie Corboy Scholarship for Achievement in Advocacy and participated in Loyola’s Moot Court program. He currently serves as one of the coaches for the Honors Appellate Advocacy Program. Prior to law school, he earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Notre Dame.
