Biography
Charles W. Sprague is an associate at Donohue Brown Mathewson & Smyth. His practice is focused on the defense of healthcare providers including hospitals, physicians, and long-term care facilities. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Sprague was an associate at an Illinois defense firm that specializes in medical malpractice.
In 2023, he was given the “Emerging Lawyer” distinction from Leading Lawyers. “Emerging Lawyers” have been identified by their peers to be among the top lawyers who are 40 or younger or have practiced for no more than 10 years.
Mr. Sprague graduated from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2020 where he was awarded CALI Awards in Constitutional Law and State and Local Taxation. Mr. Sprague graduated from Grinnell College in 2017 with degrees in English and Sociology.
Mr. Sprague enjoys golfing, skiing, and studying history.
