Stetson F. Atwood has extensive litigation experience with a primary focus on defending medical negligence claims against hospitals, physicians, and nurses. Mr. Atwood also has successfully defended numerous matters involving home healthcare nurses, long term care providers and paramedics. He is licensed to practice in Illinois and Indiana and has successfully tried to verdict cases in each jurisdiction.

Mr. Atwood has been an invited speaker at client and bar association meetings on topics such as risk management, managing a malpractice lawsuit and strategies for depositions and trials. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Indiana State Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association. He is currently serving as the chairman of the CBA Health Law Committee.

Mr. Atwood became associated with the firm in 2002, having previously worked at a Chicago litigation firm. In 1994 Mr. Atwood graduated from Creighton University School of Law, cum laude. He received his undergraduate degree from Syracuse University.
