James D. Sloan’s litigation practice is focused on product liability cases, professional negligence claims and appellate advocacy. Mr. Sloan defends physicians and hospitals in medical malpractice actions and Ford Motor Company in product liability matters.

Mr. Sloan joined the firm in 2000 after serving as a clerk to Justice Michael J. Colwell in the Second Judicial District of the Illinois Appellate Court. He also served as a judicial extern to Judge George M. Marovich, United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois.

He obtained his law degree in 1998 from Chicago-Kent College of Law where he received the CALI Award for Excellence in Legal Writing I and II. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.
