The firm was regional trial counsel in the defense of claims against the Dalkon Shield Claimant’s Trust resulting from the alleged mass injuries associated with the use of an intrauterine device. The firm was chosen as lead counsel to defend the St. Charles School District in a class action involving claims of illness due to the much publicized mold problem at St. Charles East High School.

The firm’s lawyers have successfully opposed certification of dozens of nationwide class actions on behalf of clients such as Burger King Corporation (salmonella outbreak), Bausch & Lomb (extended wear contact lenses), SmithKline Beacham Pharmaceutical (prescription cough medication), Ford Motor Company (transmission claims) and Hyundai Motor Company (emissions defects).One such case involved claims on behalf of ten million purchasers of cellular telephones that electromagnetic field (EMF) energy emitted by the telephones resulted in increased cancer risk.
