Laura K. Coffey concentrates her practice in professional negligence, product liability, and commercial litigation. Ms. Coffey defends both lawyers and physicians against malpractice claims and manufacturers against product liability claims.
Ms. Coffey joined the firm as an associate in 2014 after graduating magna cum laude from The John Marshall Law School. During law school, Ms. Coffey worked as a law clerk for firms that focused on professional negligence, product liability, and FELA litigation. At John Marshall, Ms. Coffey actively participated in the Moot Court Honors Program where she served as an Associate Justice on the Moot Court Honors Board as well as participated in the Rendigs Product Liability and Chicago Bar Association moot court competitions.
Ms. Coffey was awarded third best brief in the 2013 Chicago Bar Association Moot Court Competition. She also received seven CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in various subjects including Torts, Federal Evidence, and Federal Civil Procedure.
Ms. Coffey earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2008.
