John J. Duffy was an invited speaker at CNA's ALADN seminar in Atlanta, GA. The conference focuses on issues facing attorneys handling accounting and legal malpractice cases. Mr. Duffy spoke on ediscovery issues in legal malpractice cases and the unique issues seen there, including attorney-client privileged electronic documents, where electronic documents are stored at law firms, proprietary case management software used by lawyers and law firms, how documents can be altered and tracking alterations using external and internal metadata, and using ediscovery vendors wisely. Mr. Foster, co-presenting with a medical ethicist/internist, discussed "Liability Issues in Ethical Medical Practice." Mr. Burden, co-presenting with a gastric bypass surgeon, discussed "Bariatric Surgery." On October 30, 2007, Richard B. Foster spoke at 2 seminars, "Risk Management in General and Orthopedic Surgery" and "Myocardial Infarction Cases". Both seminars were for physicians in Iowa and Illinois. On October 15, 2007, Richard B. Foster spoke to over 200 attorneys at a Chicago Bar Association seminar, "Evidence and Objections: Laying Foundations and Raising and Rebutting Evidence". On October 4, 2007, Richard B. Foster was an invited speaker at a seminar for physicians, "An Aging Population: Liability Issues in Treating Older Patients". Mr. Foster was a co-presenter with a geriatrician. On August 17, 2007, Donald J. Brown, Jr. was an invited speaker at an Illinois State Bar Association Conference, "Practical Ethical Advice: From ARDC Complaints to Courtroom Dilemmas". Mr. Brown discussed the ethical and courtroom dilemmas for the defendant practitioner. On August 8, 2007, Richard B. Foster was an invited speaker at a seminar for physicians, "Myocardial Infarction: Treatment and Liability Issues". Mr. Foster co-presented with a cardiologist.
