Karen K. DeGrand elected as Treasurer of the Appellate Lawyers Association("ALA").

DBMS congratulates Karen Kies DeGrand on her June 30, 2009 election as Treasurer of the Appellate Lawyers Association ("ALA"). Ms. DeGrand, previously a Director of the ALA, will continue to serve as Editor of The Brief, a publication regarding ALA events, recent decisions affecting appellate practice, and supreme court rule changes pertaining to appellate procedure. The Appellate Lawyers Association is an organization of Illinois lawyers whose practices are focused on the courts of review.
